As you can see I started to put some color, my method is monochromatic,
I work layer by layer until I reach full color.
Though it's hard to tell by this photograph I started to paint with a transparent blue in the shadows, the next step will be to add a transparent red, and subsequently a yellow, based on this combination of primary colors, I'll have very rich colors in the shadows.

Fantastic. Thank you for the insight. 2 questions: So you go over charcoal pencil drawing with acrylic? How do you visualize the figuration--are you just that intuitive at rendering the human body?
